Croatian Crest in Flowers

We had a wonderful customer come in a few weeks ago, saying they had a tricky job for us. We love a challenge, and it was our privilege to be able to do this.

The request was to make a traditional Croatian shield/crest as a floral wreath for a service. Including a ribbon inscribed with ‘Rest in Peace’ but in the Croatian words, ‘Počivao u miru Božjem‘.

We used large and small carnations as the main flower, also some chrysanthemum as necessary to fill the spaces. The green foliage around the edge is mostly gardenia.
