A very simple cottage flower bouquet wrapped in brown paper. When the weather starts to cool down lovely things like snap-dragons start to become available.
If you’re after a statement piece using red roses, this is one we put together by request for a very special individual last year.
It is a simple one-level of red roses standing above a layer of ivy-berry foliage, arranged in a long boat-shape white ceramic.
This is the same arrangement from above.
The brief for this Gold Coast wedding was easy-going, cottage-field-flower-look, mixed flowers and colours (must have apricot, red and purple, and possibly blue, but no pink) and some nice foliage.
We are very happy with the result!
Flowers used:
Apricot cottage rose
Red rose and spray rose
Purple Lisianthus
Yellow freesia
Green sim carnationBlue cornflower
Green used:
Asparagus & ming fern
Fishbone fern
Sacred Bamboo
Green Hypericum
& a wisp of coral plant foliage
(For flower availability the wedding was in last May.)
Here are some buttonholes from the same wedding:
Did you know we now have Bath Tea? Yes indeed! Big tea bags for your bath! Now you can relax in a bath of chamomile, rose petals, lavender, lemongrass and Oolong tea.
Your local Parkwood Florist:
Adam’s Garden Florist is a walk-in floral studio, also delivering all over the Gold Coast. We stock a range of fresh flowers, plants, silk flowers, gifts – including teddies, chocolates (we like the locally made Belgian Delights!), balloons, etc…
As well as our lovely flowers, we are also known for our funky plant gifts. From simple succulent pots wrapped in hessian, to terrariums made with sand and air-plants. At the moment we also have a window of ripsalis plants (very trendy!) and a wall of various hoyas. Most popular last month was the chain of hearts plant grown in a heart shape… you should check them out!
Easy to order:
It’s easy to order over the phone or online, or you can pop in to pick something up in person. We are open Monday to Saturday. Contact us on: 55947774. For more details see the contact page, or visit the shop.
A real local, Gold Coast, business:
These days it can be difficult to distinguish the real brick-and-mortar florist shops from online only and order gathering sites – but you can rest-assured that we are real, and locally based right here in Parkwood. Real people, nice flowers, fun plants.
Find us on social media:
(but we don’t post too often, because we’re busy running things and looking after all the precious plants… : )
Lovely tones and textures… old lace to trim the stems…
A simple corsage for the mums… love the sweet pea curls…
For the bridesmaids…
Another angle of the bride’s bouquet…
flowers & foliage used: sim carnations, ranunculas, dusty miller, mini roses, lisianthus, green trick, sweet pea, daisy chrysanthemum, freesia…
Happy succulent plants! If you ever need succulents we try to always have a nice little selection for purchase in store here in Parkwood.
Just a fun thing – glass globe with a rose (artificial), with moss and “x o heart u” on a tag.
For an event in Main Beach – Surfers Paradise, what could be more appropriate than these beachy looking table arrangements, featuring medium sized living air-plants (tillandsias) of various types, with sand, shells, preserved moss in glass vases. Just lovely! Decor was aqua-blue and white.
We were very excited to see the new Gold Coast University Hospital have it’s community open day last weekend. We could see many people walking past to attend, and heard lots of positive comments about the exceptional new facilities.
We’ve been thinking about how we can offer a good range of floral arrangements and other fun things that will be appropriate for taking to the hospital, or for delivery, when the hospital opens later this month.
If you have any ideas for what works well, do let us know!

We’ve been working really hard and now our online shop is finally here! Check it out!
Of course if you like to pop in or phone, we still love to talk to you, but if you can’t make it in the online shop hopefully makes it more convenient for you.
We will be adding more items to the shop as we go, and also tweaking it so it’s even better.
Enjoy!

If you need a corsage for a school formal, but you’re not sure what kind of thing you want, here are some examples:
1: Roses are classic. Here we have a buttonhole for the guy, and a wrist corsage for the girl using miniature roses.
Roses come in lots of colours – white, pink (pale to dark), red, orange, yellow, champagne, etc…
2: Orchids are also great. Here are two examples of Singapore orchid corsages in the most popular colours of ‘galaxy’ which is pink/purple with a white throat, and white.
Orchids also come in many colours, even green!
Another blue flower that we love is pacific blue delphinium. It is a very tall spike of lots of small flowers. Delphiniums also come in white and mauve.
Most of the photos on our site are taken in the shop, this stunningly gorgeous rose however was photographed in a neighbour’s garden. So delicate! We couldn’t resist posting it, with an appropriate quote of course!
another quick snap of an item going out for delivery… a lovely soft pink basket with roses, lily, gerberas, carnations, etc… (sorry about the picture quality! But hopefully the idea comes across.)
Another year? Again? You’d think it wouldn’t surprise us anymore, but it always manages to doesn’t it.
Wishing you all a happy and safe Christmas and New Year, from all the team at Adam’s Garden Florist, and Wilo.
We will be opening varied hours over the holiday period, just give us a call to check if we’re open if you need flowers delivered on the Gold Coast, or need to pick something up.
We will definitely be closed on 25th, 26th Dec. and the 1st Jan. Other days to be advised.
